Your Wake-up Call from the Universe

All of a sudden, it hits you that the Universe has just given you a wake-up call. It is an “aha” moment. A moment that dawns on you. It’s as if you have been asleep all this time until you discover that the answer that you seek has been staring in your face!

Prior to the sudden awareness, you may have been stressed out. You wondered about how matters have come to be. Despite tremendous effort on your part, things – at their worst – have turned out to be a mess. And so, you questioned, if God or the Universe has abandoned you?

A major life crisis such as retrenchment, bankruptcy, financial struggle, a health crisis and/or relationship breakdowns may NOT be exactly what you had in mind. Yet, you could have been dealt with a situation that has brought about much emotional turmoil. Anger. Struggle. Sadness. Loneliness. It’s like going through the dark night of your soul. 

It’s unbelievable that what started out as small would escalate. As it turned out, things escalated from one aspect to multiple areas of your life. Understandably, it can appear as if the Universe is working against you.

Things happen for a reason and the reason is meant to serve you.

A wake-up call happens when matters have come to a head. You are now compelled to look into areas that you’ve long neglected or overlooked. It can be humbling to admit that you were wrong or that perhaps you’ve fallen short. A wrong move can have dire outcomes.

At first, for any negative situation that is happening, you may find it difficult to see that it could be a blessing in disguise.

The Universe also may be sending you the same lesson to be learnt again, because you did not quite “get it” previously. In fact, it may have felt compelled to hit you hard on the head this time round for the wake-up call. It explains why the situation has escalated to a dramatic state. Each time you have reacted negatively, the consequences just add on.

In your wake-up message, the Universe wants you to know that you have the ability to pick yourself up and to turn your life around. Hence, work on releasing the past and work through your emotions. You do what it takes to get back on track.

The wake-up call from the Universe is a blessing in disguise. However, the realisation that there can ever be any good from a negative situation is often understood on hindsight. We find out that life happens FOR us when we see that the challenges were actually opportunities to shift in a more positive direction.

What you certainly DO NOT want is to wait till years later to make a change.

Time is a precious commodity. The earlier you recognise the divine lessons you need to learn, the better it is. Perhaps there is a lesson in here too about the consequences of not taking action sooner!
