“Meditation has only one meaning, and that is going beyond the mind and becoming a witness. In your witnessing is the miracle — the whole mystery of life.” – Osho

The duck looks into the pond and contemplates its own reflection.
It also contemplates on the reflection of the fluffy clouds, the woody trees and the soaring birds in the background.
The duck instantly recognizes that it is part of the scenery of a beautiful park.
It gives a sigh of contentment for it loves its home.
The duck nods in appreciation to the music in the air by laughing children, the scent of purple orchids and the sight of tai-chi enthusiasts in fluid movement.
The duck continues to contemplate.
It begins to see that everything in the pool is a reflection of what it sees…..
……and perhaps including all the problems that it perceives it has.
It begins to understand that everything appears as they are due to its awareness.
The duck starts to fluff its wings.
It feels its body.
Next, the duck contemplates: Am I as much a reflection as I am real?
It goes into deep silence.
It is in meditation.
The duck is aware that it is aware.
In that very instant, the infinite field of consciousness makes a tiny ripple.
For the universal mind is looking at itself.
Source is experiencing itself in a single moment of awareness.
In peaceful contemplation,

In the previous post, I asked readers to make a guess as to what M-word can beat melancholy. Well, there are three possible answers, one of which is the ultimate solution. I have weaved the three answers into the above story about the duck.
Spotted them?

Hello Joy,
Very often, we hope for the huge message download from high above or to hear the distinct voice of our angels. But really, the opportunity for insights is everywhere. It can be found in the simplest of things.
If only we can stop to contemplate, perhaps we can begin to discover that the question our heart seeks is already being answered. It is in the silence that the mystery is solved.
Good for you in discovering the various multidimensional aspects that you are!
Love and blessings,
Evelyn
