How to Tap to Reduce Nervousness for Facebook Live

I have just posted my Tapping Video on Facebook Live. Yayyyy!
The topic that I covered is conveniently on How to Tap to Overcome Nervousness when venturing into something new or unknown such as Facebook Live 🙂
“Step into the Unknown and the Unknown becomes Known, no longer binding you in knots over What is Unknown.” #evelynlimcoach
As I understand from many bloggers and friends, most of them would like to do Live videos but have fear and resistance around it. Â And so, I thought that there is no more opportune time than this. After all, just last week, I was feeling very nervous myself with my first attempt. I had covered the topic on Essential Oils for Meditation and posted it to my Facebook group.
If you don’t already know, Facebook Live is the new thing in social media marketing. Basically, you are using the Facebook platform to broadcast “live” from wherever you are. This means that the video is not pre-recorded. Facebook has a ranking system whereby they are looking favourably at your posting especially it is a “live” video.Â
Well, I am feeling a lot braver after crossing my first hurdles. It’s now refining the set-up right for Facebook Live. I had to perch the camera stand on my table and then, attach my phone to it in order to record from it. This resulted in not being able to level my mobile and laptop. In the video, it would appear that I am looking down and away from the camera sometimes. So, I definitely need to improve on getting a better set-up and looking more at the camera 🙂
Tapping Script for Overcoming Nervousness
Nonetheless, I am going to share the tapping script for overcoming nervousness here. The same script can be used to address nervousness for any new project that you are hoping to venture into.
Step 1 of Tap to Transform Process
Identify What’s Your Fear AboutÂ
There can be different aspects regarding this fear. There can be
– the fear of venturing into something unknown.
– the fear of looking horrible or silly on live.
– the fear of being so public.
– fear of making mistakes and wanting things to be perfect.
– fear that people do not like what you are doing.
– fear of doing public speaking.
Let’s start off by working on your nervousness and the fear of venturing into something new.
Rate Your Emotional IntensityÂ
Tune in and rate the score for your nervousness.
From a scale of 0-10 and 10 being absolutely nervous, what’s the score for you?
Make a note of this intensity.
Apply Set-Up Statement Three Times
Now, tap along with me.
On the Karate Chop point, tap and say the following statements….
Even though I am feeling afraid about this, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I am feeling nervous about doing something unknown, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Even though I am not feeling safe going into something unknown, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
Step 2 of Tap to Transform Process
Apply Tapping Sequence Twice
Top of the head: Feeling afraid of venturing into something new
Eyebrow:Â Â I am feeling nervous about doing Facebook live.
Side of the eye:Â Â I am not feeling nervous.Â
Under the eye:Â Â It is not safe for me.
Under the nose:Â Â Feeling the fear inside my body.
“Chin”: Feeling the tenseness in my body.
“Collarbone”:Â I am not feeling safe.Â
Under the arm:Â Â It is dangerous to go on Facebook Live.Â
Top of the head:Â Â Tapping for the part of me that is not feeling safe.
Start of the eyebrow: Â Remaining fear inside my body.Â
Side of the eye: I am present to this fear.
Under the eye: I am aware of how intense and anxious I am.
Under the nose: I am still feeling tense. Â
“Chin”:Â I am still not feeling completely safe.Â
“Collarbone”:Â Â Tapping for the part of me that is holding on to remaining nervousness.
Under the arm:Â Â Remaining tension in my body.Â
Step 3 of Tap to Transform Process
Take a deep breath in and let it out.
Step 4 of Tap to Transform Process
Check in and review the score again. If it has not come down sufficiently, repeat the same steps as above.
If your score has come down to a 3 or below….
Top of the head: Â Â Â I am willing to release my tension.
Eyebrow:Â Â I choose to release my fear
Side of the eye:Â Â I am ready to release my fear at the cellular level.
Under the eye:Â Â I am ready to feel more courageous
Under the nose:Â Â It feels exciting to try something different.
“Chin”: I like trying new things.
“Collarbone”: I like being courageous.
Under the arm:Â Â I enjoy going on new adventures. Â
Take a deep breath – breathe in and breathe out.
Step 5 of Tap to Transform Process
Let’s do another check. Imagine yourself doing Facebook Live or started on your new project. How does it feel for you? Are you still feeling nervous? If so, what aspect of fear are you holding on to? Dig a little deeper to find out the reason and then tap for it.
Step 6 of Tap to Transform Process
Finally, let’s end the session with some positive visualization.
Top of the head:Â Â Rewiring all the neurons in my brain with courage.
Eyebrow: Infusing all the cells in my body with courage.
Side of the eye:Â Â I envision myself as someone courageous
Under the eye:Â Â I envision myself taking on new challenges.
Under the nose: I am feeling comfortable with taking this on.Â
“Chin”: I am feeling calm and confident.
“Collarbone”: I am open to possibility by venturing into new areas.
Under the arm: I am feeling an expansion in my energy field.
Breathe in deeply and let it out.
