Four monks were meditating in a monastery. All of a sudden, the prayer flag on the roof started flapping.
The youngest monk came out of his meditation and said: “Flag is flapping.”
A more experienced monk said: “Wind is flapping.”

I started the new year in 2009 in contemplation: How would I choose to live it? What are my plans? Do I even bother with precise calculations for goal setting, since 2008 turned out to be pretty unexpected? A review of my experiences in 2008 is in order.

Frederic, a reader to this blog, shared that embracing specific Truth statements can help in the healing of our physical bodies. He also said that the same concept applies to all areas of life i.e. relationships, finance, family, etc. On the blogosphere, I have been reading about how people are forced to make drastic cuts in their spendings, in the light of the recent financial turmoil. In the newspapers, I read headlines about pending wage cuts and retrenchments. Hence, I decided to interview Frederic to find out if there are Truth statements that we can use to improve our bank balance.

Just imagine how powerful kids can be in applying the law of attraction, if they are given the right guidance in manifesting, as well as a chance to develop their creative, intuition and visualization skills! One of the loveliest things we can do for our kids is to hand them the keys to living a more empowered life.
Slowly I awoke to the strangest sensation. It was as if my body was disconnected from the rest of me. My vision was not quite clear but I was able to see my right hand flung over a pillow. At the same time, I found myself not having physical control of any bodily movement. I experienced an odd separation between body and spirit. My mind was talking in the background, attempting to assess the situation. If anything, I could sense my spirit hovering near my body; close, but not close enough to know that I was One and whole.

Be Careful What You Wish For or You Just May Get it so the saying goes!
Seated quietly in a romantic corner of a dimly lit restaurant was a married couple in their 60s. They brought their glasses of champagne together in a toast. There was every reason to celebrate. It was their 30th wedding anniversary that day.
In a whiff of smoke, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared before them, hovering over the table. She said, “For being such an exemplary married couple and for being loving to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.”

Once upon a time, there was an artist. He loved to paint. He would spend hours painting beautiful pictures. He was happy, for he was engaged creatively.
Then, one day, he met with a motor bike accident one day. It was an accident, which was near fatal. He did survive however; but had to amputate his right arm, the arm that he used to paint with.

Neale Donald Walsch was at a low point in his life when he decided to write a letter to God. He wanted to vent his frustrations. However, to his amazement, he received a response. What transpired after that were extraordinary answers to all his questions about life, beliefs, traditions, religion, family, sex and war, amongst others. His three books based on Conversations with God are in a Q&A format; very readable and yet profound in the answers contained within. Now translated into 34 languages, they have touched the lives of millions around the world.
I was often asked this question by those who are confused: What Enneagram Type am I?
As an Enneagram Executive Coach, I’d like to offer the suggestion to first read about each of the 9 personality types that the Enneagram comprises of. Below is the follow up to the updated post on Enneagram Quiz: How Would You Cross the River.
According to the Enneagram, we have one core Personality Type. It appears that we are either born with it or that it can be the result of early nurturing. This core is home base and it doesn’t change. It describes you the most. If you are a bird, which is free to roam and to explore all other types, you always come flying home. You reside in this sector; as if it is a familiar nest.
How would you cross the river? Take this Enneagram test.
Which out of the below 9-styles are you:-
ONEs approach the river from the one and only perfect place to cross.
TWOs start to cross the river, then double back to help others to cross. As they get to do this, they never get to cross themselves.
THREEs wear their best and wait at the edge until they are the center of attention. Then, they do attractive, eye-catching strokes as they cross the river.
