How to Handle the Serial Drama Queen In Your Life

“I teach people that no matter what the situation is, no matter how chaotic, no matter how much drama is around you, you can heal by your presence if you just stay within your center.” – Deepak Chopra

drama queen

Drama queens are those with the regular habit of blowing things out of proportion. Drama queens angst over the tiniest of details, makes a big deal and strives to get the attention of people around. Note that the tendency to create a scene is not limited to females alone. There can be drama queens, there can also be drama kings. Know of a friend or colleague who is one?

Using tears as her weapon, the drama queen is great with wrenching your heartstring. She has an insatiable hunger for attention. Not a day goes by without her trying to draw you in with some imaginary near-death experience.

I Believe: When What You Believe Matters – Book Review

“The power of belief, the absolutely awesome incredible power of belief, is the genie in your life. Let me say that again: The absolutely awesome and incredible power of your belief is the genie in your life.” — Eldon TAylor

Believe in Yourself

I have had the pleasure of receiving a copy on I Believe: When What You Believe Matters!, the latest book written by Eldon Taylor, a Hay House Author, for review. It was published a week ago. To be honest, having read many books of the same genre, I was not very excited to get to it initially. However, after picking it up, I have to acknowledge that I found it rather good. I share my thoughts below.

We already know that our beliefs largely create or influence our reality. If we expect to succeed, we are more likely to experience success. Conversely, if we believe that we are going to fail, we are likely to meet with failure. Yet, do we take the trouble to truly examine some of the beliefs that we hold on to? Are these beliefs serving or sabotaging us?

How to Build Healthy Self-Esteem By Balancing the Ego

build healthy self esteem

Building healthy self esteem is a popular topic area with many personal development experts. After all, it is considered to be the foundation for individual success. Obviously, if you have low self esteem, it can become hard to achieve much in life. As the experts say, you need to believe that you are worthy of success in order to attract success. Mostly, everyone likes to do business with you if you have a winning attitude, one that reeks of success.

“Too many people overvalue what they are not and undervalue what they are.”- Malcolm S. Forbes

According to Freud, an important part of humanity is the ego. The traditional formula for success is to build the ego so that you increase your sense of self-worth. The danger is that a strong ego can eventually lead to an inflated sense of self. You experience the constant need to prove yourself as superior to others. It is a false sense of self-esteem that you are building, if you ask me.

A Confession About My Self-Love Healing Journey

“A confession has to be part of your new life.” – Ludwig Wittgenstein

self-love healing drop fear

If you had read my book, Self-Love Secrets or been a subscriber to my posts, then you already know that I have had blocks with self-love for several years in my life. However, what I may not have told my story quite so clearly previously is this……

Right after becoming a certified life coach a few years ago, I thought I had finally learned what the magic bullets are for personal transformation. And so, armed with the desire to “contribute to humanity”, it seemed easy to dish wonderful tips out to others and especially through a website.

Yet, things were not the same on the personal front. Time and time again, due to some situational triggers, I would fall back into the same old negative self-talk patterns of criticism, rejection and judgment. I was unhappy and impatient with myself.

How to Mend a Broken Heart and Move On

“It’s not hard to move on, it’s just hard to leave behind what you’re not supposed to bring along.” – Unknown

“Maybe it’s not always about trying to fix something that is broken. Maybe it’s about starting over and creating something better.” – Unknown

You are in excruciating pain. Your heart has been broken into a million pieces. As a result, you have been walking around, with a gaping wound. Like a broken recorder, your mind keeps replaying what has recently happened in a mental movie over and over again. It plays one of the following:

– You have been dumped by supposedly “the love of your life”…ouch! Your lover just cited some vague excuse about the two of you being incompatible. You tried to win him or her back but to no avail.

How to Beat the Blues of Melancholy

“It’s a brooding melancholy that haunts me.” – David Guterson

beat melancholy

Melancholy gnaws at us in an incessant stream of negative self-talk. We are not happy because of something we perceive about ourselves or our lives. Our unhappiness builds up. After some time, we could also be masked from knowing even what our true issues are really about. We do not feel tip top because “something just does not feel right”.

Back years ago, I did not notice the presence of melancholy because it would usually lurk in the background. It hung like a veil with a dreary undertone. Consequently, I experienced a lethargy that drained me of energy.

Power Phrase: Don’t Worry, Be Happy

“Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude.” Dale Carnegie

don't worry be happy title=

You could have hoped to see a sign that would signify the importance of December 21 2012 too. I certainly did myself. A few of my friends reportedly saw double rainbows and golden lights across the sky. Try as hard as I could to convince myself that the cluster of clouds formed to the image of a heart that day, I knew that it would be more a figment of my imagination.

Still, there was no denying that I spent a glorious time in the park for a good part of the day. My intention was to be in a positive vibrational state. In short, I just wanted to be happy. And I was. In the company of my children and husband, we had a lovely time on a picnic mat.

How to Unstuck Yourself From Now

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Albert Einstein

Are you bringing last year’s baggage of frustration, confusion and dissatisfaction into the new year?

Still feeling stuck as ever?

Lost in which way to go?

Chances are if you have ended 2012 still feeling lost, confused and stuck, you will be carrying the same baggage of emotions into the new year.

Let’s look back at what has happened since my last post in December.

So the world did not end in 2012. It is not like you think it would. You prefer to believe that a shift in energies has occurred on the all-important date of Dec 21, 2012, heralding the creation of a new beginning.

The Holographic Universe: 12 Keys for Higher Awareness

holographic universe

“It isn’t that the world of appearances is wrong; it isn’t that there aren’t objects out there, at one level of reality. It’s that if you penetrate through and look at the universe with a holographic system, you arrive at a different view, a different reality. And that other reality can explain things that have hitherto remained inexplicable scientifically: paranormal phenomena, synchronicities, the apparently meaningful coincidence of events.” – Karl Pribram in an interview in Psychology Today

holographic universe

Believe it or not, the universe itself may be a giant hologram constructed in part by the human mind. If this is true, this has vast implications on your perspectives about life. I have been reading <http://amzn.to/2BNthGj”>The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot in a classic book that connects science and spirituality. Through the concept of a holographic universe, he is able to give many plausible explanations to psychic phenomena and paranormal experiences.

Discover Your 5 Ancient Mirrors of Relationship

“Key #19: Our true beliefs are mirrored in our most intimate relationships.” – Gregg Braden in The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Miracles, Space and Belief

“Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.” – Ernest Holmes

Our inner world gets mirrored in our outer world. What we truly think ultimately gets mirrored in how our relationships are like. Our true beliefs come from our subconscious – rather than the conscious – mind. And so we may have no conscious awareness that we are holding a certain belief. Hence, to know what our core beliefs are, we just need to investigate how our life has been like.

In Gregg Braden’s The Divine Matrix, he shares about the Five Ancient Mirrors of Relationship. I find an understanding of it helpful when we start to analyze the mirrors of our own lives. According to Coptic, Gnostic and Essene spiritual texts, we are shown a series of mirrors that we will face at some point in our lives. The Five Ancient Mirrors of Relationship are listed in the order that we usually learn them. We recognize the most obvious ones and allow the deeper ones to emerge in time. The Five Ancient Mirrors of Relationship are as follows:
