Meaning of Conscious Living
Are you caught in a feast-famine money cycle that bring you into the highs of having lots of cash, followed by crashing lows where perhaps even paying the rent becomes a problem?
The money drama is almost like a thriller with treacherous peaks and valleys.
It keeps you engaged. Nail biting. Hooked.
Except that you are not watching a movie.
This is for real.
You are living it in high speed and great intensity.
And it is a drama on repeat.
The Entrepreneur’s Feast/Famine Money Cycle
The feast/famine cycle is what a lot of entrepreneurs go through.
There could be periods where life is great, clients coming in and you are spending cash like you are living in a lap of luxury.
Then, there are periods where no one is knocking on your door, the cash register is not ringing merrily and money is scarce.
It is a cycle because one period will follow the next and then back again – on autopilot.

Are you experiencing mom guilt because your business is taking an important place in your priority list….so much so that you are not able to be 100% present for your kids sometimes?
Mom guilt is the worst stealer of joy that can inflict a mompreur who’s trying her best to do the juggling act.
You have been saying yes to the following…
attending to the important sales call
preparing a marketing launch
blogging
doing facebook lives
coaching others
and cutting down on the following….
– joining the parent support group for your kid’s school
– baking cookies for children parties
– monitoring your children in their homework
– organizing play dates and other social events with other moms
– cooking family dinners
– breastfeeding beyond 6 months…
and the list goes on.
I found out that mom guilt never quite go away completely. Even though my girls are teenagers and need a lot less time from me, I still experience the mom guilt every once in a while. Then again, it has not stopped me from establishing the clear boundary between business and my two girls. I have not allowed mom guilt to stop me from pursuing what I want nor use it as an excuse to give up my business altogether.
As a mompreneur, having a mindset that is geared for success is extremely helpful if you are hoping to make serious money. Many mompreneurs fall into the trap of treating their business as a hobby. Let’s face it. A hobby mindset will only earn hobby income…which in the case of a crafty business means earning barely enough to cover the cost of accessories for the most part.
Many new mompreneurs report to one of the following emotions:
1. Guilt if they harbor ambitious dreams
2. Regret for the care-free life they had behind.
3. Shame if they fail to make busincess a success.
Is this true for you too?
Are you also having beliefs such as:
– I am not good enough to run a business;
– I am just not good with anything technical such as putting up a website;
– I can’t do sales and since having a business will involve sales, I can’t do a business;
– I suck at promoting myself;
– I am too slow to be learning anything like business and marketing etc.

How to transform your relationship with money?
Perhaps you are used to the idea of consulting a financial advisor or a banker on money matters….but it may feel weird to envisage having a relationship with money, much less transform it.
I get it. The idea of having a relationship with money may not be something that you often come across. As someone who used to work in a bank, I certainly did not see this in any of its training manuals. It’s also not a topic that was taught in school. Still, these reasons aside, it’s never too late to begin having a whole new perspective towards money.
Let’s backtrack a little.
Why even bother with the idea of improving your relationship with money? Can we have a relationship with something that is inanimate?
Why even think about money as forming a relationship with it?
Why is it important and how do you transform your relationship with money (when you prefer to avoid handling financial matters)?
These questions had bothered me some years ago, and after realising that I could not get any meaningful idea from others online, I decided that I needed to search for my own answers. These answers have inadvertently helped me to grow on a personal basis and to also help others find out more about their own relationship with money since then.
If you have been wondering the same or are curious to find out more, may I have the permission to shed more light?
For a start, let’s bring attention to the word “relationship”.
Are you trapped in a financial rut?
A financial rut is a repeated pattern that obstructs your way to abundance.
The heart of the matter is: the same old ways of being, doing and thinking leads to the same old results.
Then again, that you are in a pattern may escape you, even if it is repetitious.
Being in the rut can result in unclear vision. When you are emotional overwhelm, clarity goes down. It can happen when you are in a rut. It takes awareness to realise that you are encountering the same pattern over and over again.
Are you spiritual but feeling broke?
Many spiritual people have problems reconciling their wants for spirituality and money together.
It could be the same for you too.
You have been reading spiritual books, going for Reiki sessions and attending meditation classes and so you do know a lot. As a result, you may even have experienced vibrational shifts. You are already more aware. Yet, despite all the spiritual and personal growth made, you are finding that your financial life is lagging behind.
Well, I’ve been surveying my newsletter subscribers to find out more. Typically, they share the interests of spirituality, law of attraction and personal growth. What struck me was the same energy of struggle or confusion.
Do you have a love-hate relationship with money?
For a start, the idea of having a relationship with money may seem new to you. It sure sounded foreign to me at first. Until one day, after being exposed to the idea from various channels for years, I finally understood it!
One great way to think of the relationship you have money is to draw analogies from the relationship you have with a lover, spouse or partner. It is also easy to imagine such a relationship if you have watched romantic movies and TV shows.
Some of you may declare that you are “in love” with money. Or some of you may confess you are having such a difficult relationship that you resent the struggles you are in. It’s also possible that you describe your relationship with money as one of love-hate.
What are the signs indicating that you need a money mindset makeover?
I find that most people don’t recognise that they could be having a money mindset issue. They prefer to avoid any discussions about money altogether. What’s more, it’s a hit on the ego to admit to having a limiting mindset. Yet ignorance is not bliss when a money mindset makeover can help you grow your income without more pain and struggle.
Your money mindset simply refers to how you have been thinking about money. It affects you in the way you feel and also drives your actions and behavior concerning your finances. If you want to attract financial abundance, having a healthy money mindset is important.
How do you know what your money mindset is like? One great way is to look at what’s been happening in your financial situation. The thoughts and beliefs you have about money impact the outcome that you manifest.
Do You Have a Money Mindset Issue?
Here are 10 signs that you need to have a money mindset makeover immediately…..
1. Money is hard to come by every month.
2. Multiple areas in your life (eg. love and finances) are in jeopardy of crumbling.

Do you know how to love life fully?
Well, for a period in time, I was asking myself this very question.
I put myself on a search.
The journey felt incidentally harder perhaps because of the internal struggle that I was going through during that period.
Yet, no matter how and where I search, I could not get complete answers.
Which led me to the realisation that I the answers I sought are not out there.
They pretty much lie from within.
The answers came from a wise part of the self….
