“I teach people that no matter what the situation is, no matter how chaotic, no matter how much drama is around you, you can heal by your presence if you just stay within your center.” – Deepak Chopra
Drama queens are those with the regular habit of blowing things out of proportion. Drama queens angst over the tiniest of details, makes a big deal and strives to get the attention of people around. Note that the tendency to create a scene is not limited to females alone. There can be drama queens, there can also be drama kings. Know of a friend or colleague who is one?
Using tears as her weapon, the drama queen is great with wrenching your heartstring. She has an insatiable hunger for attention. Not a day goes by without her trying to draw you in with some imaginary near-death experience.

“Show your body that you are aware of yourself even in the moment that you are serving another.” Joy Holland during the interview call
Over a week ago, I invited Joy Holland to have a chat with me on “vesting presence as a self-love gift”. Joy Holland blogs about the gift of presence in order that we can shine our inner brilliance. She is a heart healer, clarity facilitator and practitioner of presence. She also works a lot with women who are abused.
In particular, I wanted to find out from Joy how she – as a mother to two children – brings presence into her everyday life. As a mother myself, I can understand how difficult it is to stay focused in the moment, especially when there is something go on with the children. Many mothers I know tend to be in a state of worry (please read 25 coping tips for stressed-out mothers here).

Someone with signs of narcissism is described as extremely self-centered. The narcissist is predominantly preoccupied with thoughts of “I, me, myself or mine”. Egoistical, he (or she) strives to be in a superior position. What differentiates narcissism from other forms of behaviour is sadism. The narcissist tends to disparage and belittle others.
Like many other conditions, narcissism occurs in a spectrum. At its most extreme, it is known as Narcissistic Personality Disorder. This article covers content that pertains to individuals with narcissistic tendencies. For an accurate diagnosis, please consult with a trained mental health professional.
“Unconscious people – and many remain unconscious, trapped in their egos throughout their lives – will quickly tell you who they are: their name, their occupation, their personal history, the shape or state of their body, and whatever else they identify with.” – Eckhart Tolle
I was speaking to a client the other day. Michelle (pseudonym) has been feeling rather battered by her husband. From her descriptions, it appears that her husband is someone who has narcissistic traits. Of course, her sense of self-worth and self-love were not high to begin with.

“It’s not hard to move on, it’s just hard to leave behind what you’re not supposed to bring along.” – Unknown
“Maybe it’s not always about trying to fix something that is broken. Maybe it’s about starting over and creating something better.” – Unknown
You are in excruciating pain. Your heart has been broken into a million pieces. As a result, you have been walking around, with a gaping wound. Like a broken recorder, your mind keeps replaying what has recently happened in a mental movie over and over again. It plays one of the following:
– You have been dumped by supposedly “the love of your life”…ouch! Your lover just cited some vague excuse about the two of you being incompatible. You tried to win him or her back but to no avail.

“A vision for happiness lays the foundation for a life well-lived in love, peace and harmony.” – Abundance Tapestry
Many of us start the new year with making resolutions. More recently, there is an increasing number who lean towards making inner-directed intentions rather than set externally-driven goals that are forgotten as soon as they have been made. Well, whether you are making intentions, resolutions or goals, I propose having an overall vision for happiness.

The energy signature of planet Earth will shift from one of anger and fear to one of love and acceptance. The old matrix is falling away. The rise of the Golden Age, with a brilliance that illuminates the entire galaxy, dawns. It has been planned for eons. Everything is in perfect timing. The countdown is almost complete.
Ascension date of December 21 falls two days away. We are given the opportunity to shift from the third dimensional reality that is based on fear and darkness to the fifth dimensional reality that is based on love and light. If you have not already made the intention, there is still time to make the decision to shift and therefore, take advantage of the strong energy influx that has already been occurring.

How would you like to jump-start a change in consciousness?
Well, the answer can be found in Gregg Braden’s book, The Divine Matrix: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles and Belief. In the The Divine Matrix, Gregg Braden lays out 20 keys about the universe. One of the keys is key #16 on how each of us contributes to collective consciousness. I have found it interesting to understand how it only takes a minority to create an impact on the larger population and how it can be measured so precisely.
“Key 16: The minimum number of people required to ‘jump-start’ a change in consciousness is the square root of 1% of a population.”

Depression symptoms are more intense than just fleeting moments of sadness. It is human to feel blue every now and then but when it comes to depression, you are in a vibrationally low state of being for an extended period. Over time, you could identify yourself with your depression symptoms so much that living with them feels normal.
Being depressed creates energy leakage. When severe, you can possibly lose the ability to function and to perform the most routine of tasks. You would rather confine yourself in your cave.
When sinking into despair becomes severe, it can turn into clinical depression. In extreme cases, depression can drive a person to suicide. This was what happened to my friend, Arch.
“Depression is the inability to construct a future.” – Rollo May

Unwilling to back down from a conflict or argument?
Find it hard to forgive and forget…..but finding it easy to point and blame?
It is always someone else’s fault?
Feeling hot and bothered, and experiencing an intense need to justify your actions?
Well, ask yourself if it is your ego wanting to be in control.
“If you want to reach a state of bliss, then go beyond your ego and the internal dialogue. Make a decision to relinquish the need to control, the need to be approved, and the need to judge. Those are the three things the ego is doing all the time. It’s very important to be aware of them every time they come up.”
– Deepak Chopra
“Simplicity is about subtracting the obvious and adding the meaningful.” – John Maeda

Stop for a moment and take a good look at your life. It’s a mess. You’re over- committed; don’t know how to say no, you have way too much stuff, too little time, and no idea how to organize all the things that are complicating your life. If that sounds like you, take heart, you’re not alone.
