My Out-of-Body Experiences

out of body experiences

Slowly I awoke to the strangest sensation. It was as if my body was disconnected from the rest of me. My vision was not quite clear but I was able to see my right hand flung over a pillow. At the same time, I found myself not having physical control of any bodily movement. I experienced an odd separation between body and spirit. My mind was talking in the background, attempting to assess the situation. If anything, I could sense my spirit hovering near my body; close, but not close enough to know that I was One and whole.

Be Careful What You Wish For or You Just May Get it so the saying goes!

Seated quietly in a romantic corner of a dimly lit restaurant was a married couple in their 60s. They brought their glasses of champagne together in a toast. There was every reason to celebrate. It was their 30th wedding anniversary that day.

In a whiff of smoke, a tiny yet beautiful fairy appeared before them, hovering over the table. She said, “For being such an exemplary married couple and for being loving to each other for all this time, I will grant you each a wish.”

In a quiet Mexican fishing village, an American who was on vacation saw a local fisherman unloading his catch. He decided to approach him.

The American asked the fisherman, “why are you finishing your day so early?”

The Mexican replied “Oh Senor, I have caught enough to feed my family and a little extra to sell for today. It is now time to go for lunch with my family and have a siesta. In the afternoon, I can play with my kids. In the evening, I will go to the cantina, drink a little tequila and play the guitar.”

Blog Action Day 08: Poverty

Today, October 15, is Blog Action Day. Bloggers around the world unite on this day for their various contributions to a central theme. This year round, the spotlight is on Poverty.

My thoughts are that if being poor is not bad enough, imagine being hit by a natural disaster! Located around Singapore (where I come from) are less developed countries that are continually hit by strong winds, rains or earthquake.

Neale Donald Walsch

Neale Donald Walsch was at a low point in his life when he decided to write a letter to God. He wanted to vent his frustrations. However, to his amazement, he received a response. What transpired after that were extraordinary answers to all his questions about life, beliefs, traditions, religion, family, sex and war, amongst others.
