What You Say Daily Affects Your Wealth
Your words affects the level of your wealth. It ultimately reflects the way you think and what your mind focuses on.
What we say has a correlation with wealth patterns.
I wanted to understand the correlation more closely and was doing some research when I came across an interesting video based on this topic itself.
Apparently, Behavioral Economist Dr Keith Chen came up with the idea that languages without the concept of a future correlate strongly with high savings rates. Obviously, cultural language forms an important part of our communication and savings is a measure of our net worth and therefore amount of wealth. Futureless languages are those that use the word “will” — “It rain tomorrow,” instead of “It will rain tomorrow” – for instance.
Note that savings behavior can be influenced by a number of factors. Dr Chen has highlighted that language is one of them. It is the way we put the language together that focuses our mind on whether we think about the future as disassociated from the present or not. His findings indicate that the propensity to save increases with the use of a futureless language. English is identified as a futured language while Chinese as a futureless language.
Like any other study, it has its detractors.
Still, one thing is clear to me: it is our perception that determines our level of wealth.
Most definitely, we need to be mindful about what we say because words are energy as well. We invite responses from what we put out in the world. In short, we create our reality from what we think, feel and say. Similarly, it is how we affect our wealth reality.

Hi John,
Yes, I totally agree that actions are very important. All spring from the mind.
What I would like to highlight through this article is to be aware about our words too. Many people do not pay enough attention to what they say, and therefore think. It is not uncommon to hear swearing for instance. If we can just slow down and listen in to ourselves, we may very well discover where the blocks to our wealth creation lie.
Love and abundance always,
Evelyn
