Trick Or Treat?

(Image by faith globe on flickr)

A Real Treat?

Against the backdrop of a moon-lit sapphire sky, a nun in flowing robes stood at the pavement. She was looking out for a cab. Soon, one came along. She climbed in.

While giving instructions for the destination of where she would like to go, she noticed that the VERY handsome cab driver staring at her. After a fifteen-minute drive, he still kept on glancing at her every now and then.

She realized that it could be dangerous if he continued to do so, as he was not focusing on the road. She proceeded to ask him why he was staring.

He nervously replied, “I have something to say but I don’t want to offend you.”

The nun paused for a moment. She answered, “My son, you cannot offend me. When you’re as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I’m sure that there’s nothing you can say or ask that I would find offensive.”

The cab driver felt very assured.

He confessed, “Well, I’ve always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me.”

She sat back and went on to reply softly, “Well, let’s see what we can do about that. #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic.”

The cab driver got very excited and said, “Oh yes, I’m single and Catholic!”

“OK then,” the nun replied, nodding her head. “I’m going to grant you your wish. Pull into the next alley.”

There, in the dark and deserted lane, the nun held his face to hers and fulfilled his fantasy with a deeply penetrating, warmly passionate and extremely satisfying kiss!

They got back onto the road.

However, less than five minutes later, the cab driver started to cry.

The nun found it strange. She thought that he ought to be happy with having gotten his wish. She felt very puzzled by his reactions.

“My dear child,” asked the nun, “why are you crying?”

In between sobs, the cab driver replied, “Forgive me for I have sinned. I lied and I must confess: I’m married and I’m Jewish.”

The nun laughed.

She said, “That’s OK.”

“My name is Kevin and I’m going to a Halloween party.”

A Treat For Myself

Laughing? If you are, I’m glad to know that it is uplifting you in vibes.

If you have been following my blog, you would know that I normally also have a message to share from each story post that I publish. But for today, the above joke is just-is!!

I don’t intend to be writing that many words and lines from here, as I need to take a break to attend to some personal matters and be in my own creative space! The break will be a real treat for myself!! I’ve also made some arrangements for my kids to be taken of, while I’m in hiatus, this coming weekend.

Lastly, to all my readers: Happy Happy Halloween!!

Hi Evelyn – That’s too funny. I got to the line where he said he lied and I thought that was the end of the joke and thought THAT was funny. Then I read the next three lines and almost fell off my chair. Precious. I need to print this off and share it with my husband.

Have a wonderful hiatus. You DO deserve it. We’ll be here when you return.

Kevin must have been a real feminine guy! Or maybe just a perfect halloween costume 😉
I liked the post started with a story, for instance the one with the fisherman (where I did not come to a real conclusion at then end *hmm*)
Keep them coming, maybe I can do one post on this format myself, thanks for inspiration! 🙂
