Soar Into The Sky In 2011

You can see the dark shadows of something moving under the waters. It moves fast, steadily and surely. Then, all of a sudden, it leaps out of the water. Soaring into the air, the dolphin makes a triple somersault. It splashes back into the water again. You cannot help but step back in a gasp of delight.

(Photo taken at SeaWorld, Gold Coast Australia)

The dolphin’s love for life is clear. It is playful, warm, responsive and intuitive. There is much that we can learn from the dolphin.

I am back from my week long family vacation in the Gold Coast of Australia. The dolphin experience which I have just described was made in SeaWorld, a theme park with marine animals. Oh yes, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. If anything, we were in Brisbane to rebuild connections with cousins with whom we have not met in years. Most certainly, it was great to spend Christmas and share a turkey together.

Take a Leap

Now, back to the topic about the dolphin. Or rather, the point about leaping out from nowhere. It’s akin to letting go of your fears and soaring into the open sky. Hence, I would like to kickstart 2011 with the following questions:

– Are you ready to soar this year?
– What fears can you release and in consequence, align with your higher self?
– What would it mean to play small?
– What would it mean to play big?
– Would you be ready for new adventures this year?

The world is moving up in consciousness. And so are you. Yet, nothing would continue to move in the new year unless you still have the ongoing intention of aligning old energy patterns into the new.

In the shift towards higher consciousness, you might have found yourself having to contend with upheavals and dramas in the last year. These are to be expected. They are part of a natural process of realignment. However, should you unwittingly shift into the gear of confusion, you would be “challenged” over and over again if you are truly ready to let go of your fears.

Being clear about what you truly want and staying focused on your intent is the key! Be alert to all distractions and the mind’s habitual negative tendencies. Eventually, your true self emerges as the denser parts of the old get peeled away.

Go ahead! Take the opportunity at the start of the year to make the renewed intent for healthy personal growth. Obviously, if you have not gotten started yet on any inner work, there is no better time than now. Make the conscious decision to take personal responsibility of your life.

So what do you say about soaring in 2011? Do let me know your thoughts in reference to the above 5 questions in the comments box below.

Blessings in the New Year

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! May miracles, treasures and gems unfold as you journey on the path of 2011. And, may you discover and experience the magnificence of your unlimited self.

In loving abundance,

P.S. There has already been more than 10,000 views since I launched my book trailer two weeks ago. What is amazing is that I haven’t made any promotional effort since I was away on vacation and deliberately chose to stay away from the internet (other than two short instances to check my emails). So if you haven’t watched my video trailer yet, click here for the Youtube link.

P.S.S. I am starting 2011 with a bang!! More news coming up about the opening promotional launch of my book on January 5, 2011! Stay tuned!!

Evelyn,
I look forward to watching you continue to soar in this new year!!!

And it’s within all of us…the ability to soar! On this journey through life, there lies so much possibility. For 2011, I choose to soar, also! There is greatness within each of us. I choose to step more fully into that, to embrace what is inherently a part of my being….

Much love to you, dear friend, as you continue on your journey…

Hi Evelyn,
Your spirit, your energy, your enthusiasm and zest for life leaps off of this page into my heart! Thank you!
Like Lance, I believe there is greatness within each of us, and I too am embracing each step more fully into that greatness..
I was afraid to “soar” because I didn’t want to be alone; a mentor counseled me that alone is a state of being, soar and other beings will be right there..guess what??? I *am* soaring, and beauty filled people such as you and Lance are soaring too..encouraging, inspiring..absolutely fantastic!
My children and I were going to Sea World San Diego, then chose Six Flags Magic Mtn instead..literally soaring in the clouds:)

Hello Joy,

We are led to believe that it can be lonely at the top. But that can well be a myth. It’s great to be in the company of like-minded friends who are all waiting to soar in 2011. I wish you much success as you embrace the fullness of your being and be the unlimited potential that you already are.

With much love,

Evelyn,

Seeing the picture of the dolphin brought back one of my favorite beach memories. My boyfriend and I were walking along the beach and suddenly out of the water TWO dolphins leaped high in the air, each making an arch before going back into the water. I used to think it was a trick they were taught at Sea World, but no…they leap in the air naturally:~)

Regarding your request, I’m not sure where I am right now. Like you, I took some off-line time to just relax, but I will consider your questions; they are good for the New Year.

Keep us posted about the book. I pleased for you and what you have produced. It’s good that you are sharing your talents. They shouldn’t ever be hidden:~)

Hello Sara,

It’s great that you’ve actually seen the dolphins leap high into the air in their natural states. It must have been an awesome experience.

According to the Zen Tarrot readings, 2011 is the year of “breakthrough”. I believe that it can happen for anyone of us. 2010 is gearing up for that possibility. However, it is not just about having ideas. Henry Ward Beech said, “The ability to convert ideas to things is the secret to outward success.” Hence, it is about grounding these ideas into actions. And we must first start with letting go of our fears, in order to take appropriate actions.

In my book, I am just hoping to share what I have learned. Hopefully, it can help a single soul out there who’s looking for some answers.

I think it is great that you’ve taken time off to relax and for self reflection. If you need any assistance, do let me know.

Have a wonderful New Year! Much blessings to you and your family!

With love,
Evelyn

Hello Hilary,

You’ve been doing a great job managing things with your mother and still running your blog. Read my answers to Sara. I truly believe that the ability to soar is available to anyone. We really should be asking what fears are holding us back. I believe that by reviewing what has happened in 2010 can offer clues on what important lessons there have been for us, in order to make the next steps in the new year.

I wish you and your loved ones much happiness, joy, peace, great health and blessings in 2011 and beyond.

With much love,
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn… great post. My youngest of 3 sons spent a couple of hours swimming with dolphins a few years back at a water park in Portugal. They really are amazing and fun loving. As for this year, I hope that I avoid reverse gear never mind the confused gear. You are absolutely right that true alignment and advancement come from focus AND persistence…thanks again, Stephen

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Stephen,

Bet your son enjoyed his experience with the dolphin. I certainly did with mine ten years ago while in Mexico.

So long as the intent is there, you should not go into reverse gear. Being clear about the overall direction is important. I wish you much success in staying focused and being persistent.

Much blessings to you and your loved ones in the new year,
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,

I love the way you described the movement of the dolphins! It was almost as if I was there watching them myself. Dolphins are truly such wonderful creatures with a great love for life. I am glad to read that you and your family enjoyed yourselves greatly during the vacation. That is a great way to usher in 2011! 🙂

In response to your questions, yes I am ready to soar this year. Playing small would mean remaining in my comfort zone and not daring to try new things. This would inevitably lead to stagnation because I am not moving forward. But it would be reckless to go forth without a clear plan of what I want to achieve which is why “Thinking Ahead” is my theme for 2011. This will help to guide all my thoughts and actions and give me clarity of purpose and direction. In this manner I can face the new adventures in 2011.

I love your video trailer btw, it definitely helps to build anticipation for the launch of your book. 🙂

May you have an awesome 2011!

Hello Irving,

I wasn’t thinking about writing a post on dolphins while I was in Australia. Looking through my holiday album and connecting with joy and playfulness gave me the idea for my New Year message. It’s great that you’ve enjoyed it.

I know what you mean about being reckless. However, I have often found that detailed advance planning seldom works out for me. More recently, instead of obsessing over too many details, I cross the bridge only when I come to it. It doesn’t mean that I don’t have an overall direction. Things have a way of working out strangely. Along the way and as events unfold, I would just send out intents for things to develop in line with my overall direction.

Most certainly, do what works for you. I understand that what works for me may not be the case for others. To live the way that I do requires a degree of comfort with uncertainty.

I certainly hope that my book trailer would generate interest to my new offering. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it would be able to help readers with increased clarity.

I wish you much success in the year ahead and look forward to reading about your plans. I am sure that you can do much to help the world.

Abundance always,
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn,
Did you get to swim with the dolphins? They are wonderful. Yes they are so special. We see then here sometimes too

Your book trailer is awesome.
Yes 2011 is the year to soar
love and hugs
Suzie

Evelyn Reply:

Hi Suzie,

Nope, I didn’t go swim with the dolphins as I already did that in Mexico. Instead, I just booked sessions for my kids to pat, feed and connect with the dolphins. As they are below 14 years of age, they are not allowed to swim with the dolphins either.

We are sold on Tangalooma Resort should we make it to Brisbane the next time. I heard wonderful stories of having wild dolphins swim up to the jetty.

We’ll catch up the next time, should the opportunity arise.

Thank you for your kind comments about my book trailer. I enjoy creating videos. I should do more of them!

Hoping to see you soar,
Evelyn

Hi Evelyn, I discovered this site while in a doldrum, you have placed hope in front of me. Thank you..
I have witnessed dolphins at Tangalooma many times, and your message has bought back many happy moments playing with dolphins and taking mental photograhs. I was in a good place then.. It becomes timely for me to remember this, as I have lost my way, lost my self love, allowed myself to be swolloed up by everybody elses needs and wants… I have not put myself on my own to do list. This year I take from your message and remind myself of the love and playfulness, the trust and continuos smile a dolphin genuinely holds. How willing they are to connect and be affectionate. hmmm I have a lot of homework…:))

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Kirsty,

Let the playful dolphin be your totem while you work through your inner issues. You may even wish to consider taking a trip back to Tangalooma for an energy renewal.

Yes, there can be hope. I’ve worked through much of mine to be where I am and still have lots more to go!

I wish you much love and peace in your inward journey!

Hugs,
Evelyn

Wow, I feel I led a life full of fear in 2009/2010. In fact never before had my fears driven me so forcefully. I left a long term relationship determined to be open hearted and fearless about loving another, what I did not realise is that I had not put in the energy of loving myself. The open heart was soon taken over by the fear and this was sensed in all my small interactions with others, leading of course to their inevitable end. I have since met someone very special, balanced and protective of their energy. I have had a big battle of trying to manage my anxiety and change my thinking. My dream is to try and find my inner strength to kick the fear and try and nurture this connection with this lovely person but I know what must come first. The concept of play, release and soaring have given me some clarity. Thanks for the visual image of the Dolphin. I was good at radiating joy and I’m determined to start truly doing it again this year. Aroha to you all.
