Map to Manifestation: Make a Plan

“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Benjamin Franklin
The last I checked, many of us have some notion of a dream. I believe that the vagueness is partly fogged by our many excuses on why we are unlikely to succeed. We just have too little faith and belief in ourselves. Consequently, we may even procrastinate on making a plan that will help us achieve the success that we dream of. We live in delusion and denial, and ironically get envious when others succeed before us.
There is a popular adage often attributed to Benjamin Franklin, the father of time management, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” We are contented to sit on our butts and wait for things to happen. However, the reality is that nothing is going to happen if we don’t also take action that moves us forward. Even if we dream of striking the lottery, we will still need to go to the convenience store to buy a lottery ticket. Action needs to take place. While failing to plan may not necessarily result in failure, but it can detract us from becoming more successful.
Hence, the message is first, make the plan and then second, follow through with action on the plan. There are mental blocks to cross in order for these to happen.
Inertia besets us. I have personally experienced it as a crippling disease that prevents me from doing anything new. There is comfort in familiar spaces and conditioned habits. Yet, I know that I need to move past the mental barriers that have been nailing my feet to the ground.
Are you currently in the situation that I have just described? Well, if you are reading this post, this article may just be what you need 🙂
Gather Momentum In Movement
It helps to recall Sir Issac Newton’s first two laws of physics:
1. An object at rest tends to stay at rest.
2. An object in motion tends to stay in motion.
Hence, movement that brings you nearer to your goal is very necessary.
You may keep your dream small because from where you are, you cannot see how you are able to reach the top of the staircase. In reality, you don’t need to see every single stair in order to get started. You merely need to see a couple of stairs ahead. You gradually make the climb upwards, seeing two to three steps ahead of you each time while holding on your desire to reach the top.
Planning is a vital step. Otherwise you may be expending a lot of energy but find yourself going round and round in circles. Thus, you could be filling your calendar with activities but you are nowhere nearer to your dream. The absence of a plan can slow down your progress.
By allocating a few hours to working productively each day, you will end up closer to your target than nothing at all. Rome is not built in a day and you should not expect quick success either. Remember that manifestation may take some time as the energies at the physical dimension are dense and you will need to gather a lot more momentum before your dream takes shape.
Bring Your Vision Forward
We are encouraged to imagine and dream. However, imagination alone is not good enough. Imagination merely keeps a restless mind occupied. You can be imagining ideas for ages from your couch with nothing to show for. It is important to discern between wishful thinking and an inspired dream that lends to your purpose.
Thereafter, to manifest your vision into reality, you will need forward planning and aligned action. You make the plan that brings you the forward movement, and following through on it. It is when you align yourself vibrationally through energetic movement that you attract the resources needed for success. Make the commitment to getting started today!
