7 Tips to Overcoming Money Insecurity While Undergoing Career Transition
“Change is always tough. Even for those who see themselves as agents of change, the process of starting a new thing can cause times of disorientation, uncertainty and insecurity.” Joyce Meyer
Are you in-between jobs or undergoing a career transition?
Or perhaps you have been thinking long and hard about quitting your job and changing line…and yet have not dared take the plunge?
If so, let me guess: you are not having an easy time.
You have been feeling a level of insecurity with a sudden loss in income or the thought of an expected loss in income.
At times, your insecurity gives way to a sense of panic.
What do I mean by panic?
Heart palpitations;
Sleepless nights;
Profuse sweating;
Constipation;
Loss in appetite;
Fainting spells;
Emotional upheaval;
Irregular monthly period.
Then again, your symptoms may not be quite as dramatic.
After all, there is a part of you that believes in your resilience.
It is that part of you that holds you together, so that you don’t fall apart during this unsettling period.
But one thing is for sure.
There is another part of you that is feeling uneasy.
It is an uneasiness that does not go away easily.
It is that part of you that digs a hollow pit in your stomach.
Consequences of Prolonged Insecurity
There may not be any logical reason to panic yet. After all, you have some reserves. You have done your calculations. The reserves can last for a couple of months or even a year, if you are careful about your spending.
However, you may have found it hard to deal with the threat of a change in your financial situation. You are feeling ungrounded, insecure and unstable.
And so, you get easily worked out at the thought of “not having food on the table”. Even though it may not be truly the case, you suddenly feel as if you have barely enough to survive on. You are not able to relax. Instead, you are complaining about prices, worrying about your finances and fretting about the future.
The thing is, if you don’t deal with your anxiety issues, they can start to haunt you in your sleep. Your root chakra gets into imbalance. Your wellness starts to decline.
You cannot help but feel bitter whenever you compare your money situation against your friends’. You may even not want to meet anyone any longer. And so you withdraw yourself socially. Your insecurity eats at you. It gets worse and worse each day. Eventually, you sink into depression.
7 Tips on How to Overcome The Sense of Money Insecurity
A number of my clients report to facing difficulties dealing with their inner world while in-between jobs or undergoing career transition. I understand. Change can be discomforting and when it comes to money issues, you can feel like you are in some emotional roller coaster.
Well, what I would like to share is that working up to a state of depression does not need to happen.
In fact, staying positive during the transition period is absolutely vital!
Avoid the situation of going into deep despair while coping with change.
By staying positive, you are more likely to attract a set of desired outcomes.
Here are 7 tips on what you can do to overcome money insecurity:
1. Release your negative emotions by tapping on your money issues.
2. Use the opportunity to work on childhood programming that is triggering your money fears.
3. Change your perspective about your situation through working on your money beliefs.
4. Remove money myths or collective illusions that you have bought into. An example of a money myth is “money does not grow on trees”.
5. Boost your self-esteem and self-love by affirming yourself continually.
6. Release harsh judgements about yourself.
7. Align your energy system through healing and repair work of your affected chakras.
Strengthen Your Confidence
All in, avoid allowing insecurity to drain your energy.
Start from within.
Overcome doubt with confidence.
Hold yourself as a magnificent co-creator of awesome outcomes no matter what!
“I never have been insecure, because I see what a waste it is. I know there is a solution to insecurity. I don’t tend to be thrown by problems that don’t have solutions. And insecurity has a wealth of alternatives.” Drew Barrymore

Hello Ryan,
I love your affirmation when it comes to coping with change and having money issues! It usually works more effectively for me after doing some release work, though. Otherwise, I do encounter difficulty in feeling the love and acceptance.
All the best to you,
Evelyn
