7 Daily Inspiration Messages To Kick Off Your Week

daily inspiration messages

Do you enjoy reading daily inspiration messages? Well, I have the practice of doing this almost everyday. It is almost like a habit now. I have been reading positive sayings, quotes and affirmations from just about anywhere; books, sites and magazines. I also post them on my Facebook account as much as I can.

Not too long ago, I even started collecting some of my favorite ones in a folder and turning them into works of art in the form of art journals, craft work, collages and digital vision boards. If you have following my site, you would have already seen photos of projects I have made.

Sunday Daily Inspiration

Today’s featured project came as a result of inspirations from my walks in the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

I did my craftwork with a woody effect, to reflect my strong liking for trees. I also used mixed media; with pictures of birds, flowers and butterflies in a variety of forms like chipboard, stickers and fabric.

Daily Inspiration Messages Offers Magic

My creative pursuits keep me in the flow. I enjoy interpreting each quote or saying with my own style. I even find myself telling a story in-between, while I work through the design. After I have finished, I would sit back and savor each completed piece, page or project. Just imagine a satisfied cat all curled up, licking its lips after a great meal!

To my amazement, my finished works also serve as springboards in more ideas for me to look into. (So much so that I find myself not having the time to even blog nor be focused in completing my offline projects!) From the ideas, I saw how they could possibly be interwoven. Don’t be mistaken either! It is not as if I declaring myself to be some enlightened guru, who can download ideas from heaven and know how each can fit with the rest in a meaningful mosaic.

What happens is that I obey the instinct or inner prompt to put other things aside and find time to do something creative. I will start with some of the ideas I already have and then see where working with them takes me. Not obeying the instinct can put me in discomfort for days. But once I get started, I know that I have reached the space of timeless awareness.

It is only when I finish each piece of art that the patterns start to emerge. I realize that the messages that come through are the result of my asking. They are in response to the ultimate question in my continued search: who am I?

Each part offers clues to one aspect of my true nature. Reviewing my accompanying journal generates more questions for me to contemplate over and in the process, offers more depth.

Nature Tapestry Notes

Daily inspiration messages offers a great energy boost. Not just for a day but continue to read positive sayings, affirmations and stories throughout the week.

Find ways to be in the flow. It can be doing art, playing music or even, baking a cake. Who knows? You may just tune in and receive a whole bunch of creative ideas or problem-solving solutions in response to your asking.

Jeremy Johnson - April 19, 2010

Evelyn, this is great and I love how visual you are! Question for you, “Where do you get the materials to work on all these awesome projects you do?” Do you just find an arts and crafts store, or do you just use paper, glue, and what you are able to find around the house. You’re a very inspiring. Glad to have found your website – particularly because I am somewhat visually challenged and you are helping me with that.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Jeremy,

For this project, I use materials found at scrapbook stores. I also use items that I already have in the house – like buttons, sequins, paint, beads etc. For others, I use old magazines or if I can’t find the picture I want, I just draw them.

Thank you for finding my site inspiring. I am glad that you have found my posts useful!

Evelyn,

What a great idea for a project. Not only is this a wonderful way to spark some inspiration every day, but you are also very creative and artistic! I like the idea of combining some sort of hands-on project with inspiration. As a writer, I often resort to just using words. Now, I want to challenge myself to come up with some more creative means to inspire my readers.

Thanks for your inspiration! Happy to have found your blog!

Dave

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Dave,

I cannot help but laugh joyfully that I have just sparked off a challenge in you. Indeed, I constantly challenge myself to come up with new ways to present my ideas in an aligned and congruent manner. Hope to see more of your works soon!

Evelyn –

I’m digging your inspiration book – a great idea. I read the same inspiring passage every morning by Marianne Cantwell (Our great fear is not that we are inadequate – it is that we are more powerful than we can possibly imagine). I also affirm my beliefs – particularly that life is precious so to make the most of every day. These get me focused for the excitement ahead. Great post.

Hi Evelyn,

You are really an incredible artist. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m convinced you could sell lots of the pieces like this that you create. You have an tremendous gift!

Also, thanks for sharing these inspirational messages. It is wonderful to have uplifting daily reminders to give us a boost.

Furthermore, I am the same way about following my instincts. I have learned to really trust my inner guidance.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Greg,

Thanks for your great feedback! I appreciate your warm encouragement. My challenge is finding the time to organize my stuff to sell them.

It’s great that you are learning to trust your inner guidance. It’s been quite an adventure for me ever since I decided to pay more attention to myself intuitively! I am sure that it must have been the same for you too 🙂

Abundance always,
Evelyn

Lance - April 22, 2010

Hi Evelyn,
Wow…as I think about that simple three-word question “who am I?”…many thoughts start floating around in my mind. And that’s a question that really feels like it can just go deeper and deeper. Much to think about just in that! And the inspirational message book you have created – Evelyn, that is incredibly beautiful!! And – I imagine that it is also very inspiring for you to look at!

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Lance,

Oh yes, “who am I” is the question that certainly allows us all to go really deep. I like keeping myself inspired. There is nothing like art – whether creating or looking at pieces – to do just that for me!

Have an awesome weekend,
Evelyn

Donna - April 22, 2010

Hi, I’ve made reading positive quotes and affirmation for a few months now. I find it refreshing and grounding, especially when I find myself surrounded by negativity from forces beyond my control. I just look for my daily affirmation to bring me back home again. I love how you’ve scrapbooked our affirmations and I like your idea of digital vision boards. Can you share more on how you do that? A friend of mine and I have started personal vision boards of our own to see where our “journey” is taking us! We’re having a lot of fun together, cutting, pasting, talking! We’re enjoying our journey.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Donna,

It’s great that we share similar interests; daily affirmations, vision boards and all! Stay cool!

With love,
Evelyn

Catrien Ross - April 22, 2010

Evelyn, your Daily Inspiration Project is stunning – what a thing of beauty to hold in one’s hand – the sensation of creativity enjoyed physically as well as mentally and emotionally.

You have such a special way of observing the world, Evelyn, and you tap your enormous creative source so that you integrate so many elements and life lessons into a tangible essence you then share with others. I am so impressed – yet again. Thank you for this delightful visit.

Very rainy greetings from the mountains in Japan to you – Catrien Ross.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Catrien,

It is lovely of you to drop by! Yes…yes…it is my intent to weave together life lessons with my creative works in a unique expression of who I am. I am happy to know that my sharing has inspired you in some ways.

Rainy days from Singapore too. Nevertheless, I wish you much love, light and laughter!!

J.D. Meier - April 22, 2010

I really like “choose the good news.” It’s a great reminder we can choose where we direct our attention.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Meier,

Same here too. I like that we have choices. We can most certainly choose well!

Patty - Why Not Start Now? - April 23, 2010

Evelyn, the images here are so mesmerizing. And I love the story you tell with them. It is the perfect description of being in creative flow. The fact that you are asking, “Who am I?” and letting your answers come through your art is thrilling to me. Because I think that’s the only way to really answer the question. When we rely on our cognitive function to do it, we get very mixed messages. But there’s no doubt of the messages you’re getting from your creative work. Not mixed up at all! Thanks for sharing this.

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Patty,

I enjoyed your point about relying on our cognitive function. Indeed left brained analysis has not provided me with deeper answers. On the other hand, when I am in the flow, I find myself.

With love,
Evelyn

Chris Edgar - April 24, 2010

It looks like some days are plastic or glass days and others are wooden — is that based on your opinion of different days of the week, or just based on the materials that were available? 🙂

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Chris,

How observant you are! It is just based on the materials that are available and the mixing and matching of them.

Have an awesome weekend,
Evelyn

Belinda Munoz + The Halfway Point - April 24, 2010

Hi Evelyn,

I clicked over from Greg Blencoe’s site. Your art is beautiful and your message for each day of the week reminds me of a yoga class I once took that incorporates affirmations. Very soothing. Incidentally, I smiled because I also just recently did a post of delightful things for each day of the week. Must be something in the air.

One last thing, I’d be remiss not to comment on how you close your response to each commenter: “Abundance Always” and “With Love”. I absolutely love these and get a lift just reading them even though they’re addressed to someone else! Glad I clicked over!

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Belinda,

How coincidental that you should have a post on delightful things for each day of the week! Pleased that you came over to my site. I am going to pop by your blog right now to take a peek!

And lol….

Abundance always….with plenty of love….

Hi Evelyn

This was incredible! I love the words you shared, but even more so the creative ways in which you displayed them!

We have a “paradigms tree” and I shared it in a recent video I did, but a few people have asked what is actually written on it, so in a post soon I will be sharing that, as those are inspirational words I read regularly.

P.S. Beautiful garden photo too!

Hello Evita,

Thank you Evelyn,

I just happen to come across your page and felt such a connection. I do love to read inspiring quotes, daily affirmations and anything positive. Two years ago,I made myself a binder full of all kinds of quotes and affirmations and I am still adding too it. I keep a Mind and Body folder full of stuff too. I just love your ideas on scrapbooking it. Scrapbooking is also a hobby of mine. Thank you for inspiring me to not just make binders and clips but to make them special and present them in a more personal way.
Sincerely, Diadel

Great! It seems that we have common hobbies!! I hope to post more of my scrapbook pictures soon!

LaraBeth - May 28, 2010

These are beautiful and pictures of your garden show you are obviously a talented creative person. But what do you do if you’ve lost you’re creativity and ability to believe you can do anything?

Evelyn Reply:

Hello Lara,

No one loses their creativity. We are all creative beings. To create comes naturally from our souls. You can lose the belief in yourself but not your creativity.

When you say you have lost your creativity, it is just a figure of speech. You have simply lost the connection to who you are inside. You have not technically “lost” anything. Your essence is still there. Waiting to be reconnected.

Beliefs are just made of thoughts. And thoughts can be changed. Once again, it is about looking at a glass half filled with water. Are you looking at it as half full or half empty? When you reframe your mind positively, you start looking at things as half full. There is hope.

With loving kindness,
Evelyn
